Leupold Wind River Cascades Binoculars review

This review is for Leupold Wind River Cascades in 10X42 camo. These glasses amaze me at the clarity I get in such a small package. They really perform well in low light situations also. I feel that they are a very good quality set of optics for a reasonable price tag ($300 to $350).

At 23.1 ounces and measuring out at only 5 1/2" by 14" they are small and lightweight which makes them easy to carry especially with a harness. They have twist-up eyecups to accomodate those of us who wear glasses. The focus ring is positioned perfectly at your fingertips so you can quickly dial in at the distance you need. the lenses are phase coated and the prisms are coated with magnesium flouride which gives a bright, clear image. They are 100% waterproof, armored and nitrogen filled so they are built to handle any weather condition.

Most hunters and outdoor enthusiasts would find these ideal without spending over a thousand dollars for the high end products. My only worry is that the 10 power might not be enough for long range spotting, but a spotting scope is more suited for that. These glasses are great for field scoring big game animals because of the definition and clarity.

Cascades are also available in 8x42 and 10x56 in camoflauge and black.
